No, good idea. Many people just make a few posts (spammers) to promote xxx and other nasty sites.
you can write URLs like myhomepage.com and you can ask me (send me email) to edit your URL.

All it takes is a properly moderated Board to ensure that all posts are legit. I say don't take it out on the general public just to prevent the few that abuse it.
