Is my design effective?

Hey,

Is the layout of my site effective and clean, or are there things to improve on?

I really like the colors, the layout. How each entry is ordered with the title color different, easy to see.

If I could change one thing on the blog, it would be to have maybe 5 entries rather than 10 per a page. I’m on dialup and it’s a long, long, page load. Had there not been a catchy journal topic to catch my eye, I honestly would have closed the page off and not thought about it. But I waited for it to load.

Looks good and friendly without being cheesy. On the homepage, maybe put some links to the most important/popular postings in the Pages section.
