Trying to get my head around this static page carry on.

I would like the reviews on food just to appear in the 'eat' section, however I cant find a way to add a post to that page? It is on my main page at the moment (last post as I have change the date it is posted)

I have added these pages through the Configure Link List section in the layouts menu.

Also i have read about changing the dates of your posts so they do not appear first on the first page of your blog, though I think the way I have it may cause problems.

Can anyone offer any help or suggestions please
