This is what I did to market my blogsite. I joined Facebook. Then added friends. Then added friends of friends. Then added friends of friends of friends. And kept on repeating the process until I had a sizeable pool of friends. Then I shared my blogsite. In less than 10 days, my blogsite received more than 300 unique visitors.
