Customizing Typepad for an advertiser

An advertiser has requested that I post her ad only on the side bar of the home page. Currently, typepad is so designed that it appears on all pages of the side bar. I have been advised that I will need code to have the ad appear only on the home page. Does anyone know how to write the code so the ad appears only on the home page.

You have to customise the template (i hope they have one) to have a work around on this..
