    yeah u can do it

    staying online doesnt mean that one can earn money.being online is a seperate issue.and having a your own website YEAh that makes sense.being online with your own website and that of promoted one, you can definitly earn money depending upon the contents.

    Focus first on the quality of your site. Then getting traffic/people. Build up a good website that people will want to come back to. Make it worthwhile for the user. Once you have a strong website with constant viewers you can introduce the different methods of making money as mentioned by other people. And yes, you can make money from the internet.

    To get traffic you have to focus on SEO and promoting on different places.
