I don't use it but it seems to be a (kind of a) free "Ms Outlook", isn't it ? I mean the same functionality as the Microsoft program, as far as I see from the screenshots. But you have your own email account somewhere, this is just the client, as far as I understand.

all best,

My address was correct, I just forgot the '2' after 'm'. Try it now, you will see it works

No, it's different from Outlook: It's not excuting stuff in advance like Outlook so you are safe. And it saves all in a database and you access all stuff using APs (Access Points), and it has a self-learning spam filter with AI. And and and

Yes, indeed (in fact is redirecting to the one I mentioned)

Outlook is not executing stuff (VB code, for example) in advance neither. (I'm talking about Outlook, not Outlook Express). For the rest, it seems really interesting, tell me how this AP thing works (OK, I know I could search for it but I'm a little lazy now ) And the AI spam filter seems really useful.
Thanks for opening my mind on it, I think I'll give it a try when my time will allow !

All best,

Read the above post again, I have explained Access Points. It means you access the same mail from different places/methods instead of physically moving the email like in Outlook.

Also nice: http://operawiki.info/Opera

And you are welcome

Outlook is still not as secure, I think

I see, OK (still without looking into the documentation) I think it is something like the GMail , that you can access using the web-interface at gmail.com as well as reading them thru POP3 /IMAP interface (reading them by using an email client - Outlook or Oulook Express or Firefox or Netscape or....). Plus it is an email client ("Opera Mail is integrated with the Opera browser" they say). However, I'm wodering if it works only with Opera browser - that means I'll have to install Opera- or could I use it with Internet Explorer (as a plugIn, of course) or as a standalone application.

And IT'S NOT like Yahoo!Mail that blocked POP3 access for the free accounts since ...might be 6-7 years already.

NO! See, you can access your emails by filters, by view, by attachment by spam/no spam, etc but it's all the same object (i.e. email).

It's a totally different method compared to any other email client.

Try it out, read the doc. If you are too lazy, nothing I can do...

Look, I'm not the type of person that install of kind of things on PC just for the sake of curiosity. However, this time...OK, I downloaded it, installed and checked out the features.
My conclusion after "playing" with it a little (I struggled to send/receive emails, at the end it works but I was expecting to be easier) is: I know is not good to argue a moderator (even when he's slightly wounding you) so I will stop discussing about Opera Mail features in a thread called "Gmail plugins".

Hehe, I knew you're good guy. Anyway some threads about other tools / plugins (Opera fetures, for example) might be interesting.
All best,
