now that we all voted Democratic, why are the gas prices going up again?

In the past week, gas prices have gone up about 30 cents/gal. Doesn't anyone ask why? Don't we deserve an explanation? Are we sheep to be fleeced?

Or is everyone just sooooooooooo glad to contribute to the quarterly profits of the oil companies?

The gas price goes up as people rely too much on this. Try alternative cars, or at least try economic cars and they (the oil companies) will see the profit going down and begin to wonder. Also the USA has a buying power that allows rising the prices, especially for the fuel (it's much cheaper than in Europe).
