The best way to create traffic, free or Pay?

I am fairly new to this, but I am beginning to understand the importance of social networking. Each site you join, friend you meet ect...is a potential hit on your website later. The more you have the more likely you are to get higher traffic to your blog. Also, I have found that answering someones questions on Yahoo Answers works good for traffic. (stay out of the politics and religion sections and you should be fine

I would never pay a dime in advertising but concentrate on creating a content rich site that is constantly updated and graced with fresh and unique articles. Doing this will get your blog indexed in the search engines and your traffic will increase. Paying for traffic is a short term and expensive way to get traffic that doesn't always result in money for you. I would suggest posting on your blog daily and commenting on plenty of other blogs and build a social network like the first poster said.

I'm still get hard with this method. almost every day I've posted fresh and uniquely article, but the traffic never up, always under 20 visitor per day
