this is hard modblog is just as good as blogger but theres a lot i don't yet know about modblog

Blogspot is good. spaces.msn.com looks cool. They offer a gallery along with your blog. Maybe can give it a try.

However, i would still vote for blogspot.

MSN Spaces is pretty good. I set up a friend on there not so long ago and she likes it, nice and easy to use.

Only downside was her desire to backdate a few items from her journal which couldn't be done.

you forgot the only three i use
tblog,blogger and blogster
tblog has mega configuration options, i would say the most of any, plus a community so you have people reding right away..BUT it freezes up alot...too much traffic maybe?
blogger looks good, thats about all i like about it
blogster has a great community, some configuration options but thats it

Blogsome should also be listed as a choice...They offer free hosting using Wordpress. Great features, tons of customization options. No need to look anywhere else.

WordPress and TypePad are not services. They are blog software packages.

I use TypePad. How could you leave it off your list of blogs?

Blogger and blogspot have a sweet arrangement with Google who is now funding them so we expect they will be around for quite some time.

I wonder why you don't have TypePad listed. They is a MAJOR player out there!!!!

I love the WordPress software and I have a free wordpress hosted blog. The only problem with it is that I am not able to customize it. I have MSN spaces which looks cool and you have some say in how the site looks, however, I run an adultish blog and MSN TOS is very family oriented. I'm afraid I'm going to get banned or something so I haven't used it much.

I just set up a Blogger Blog to mirror my WordPress blog. I like being able to customize it. We'll see how it goes as far as the community and traffic generation etc.

I also have Livejournal blog. It's okay.

(FYI Wordpress and typepad are blogging software. However every so often Wordpress will invite someone to have a blog hosted on their servers.)

I'm a tabulas girl, represent. Hehe. It's an awsome service I'v used almost all blog services and I still go back to good ol' Tabulas. As far as templates go there fairly good however I don't like using premade layouts. Tabulas dosen't have any crazy advertisment ether, which is a major plus ++++

but obvious blogger. com . You can make easy money with adsense and blog with blogger.com. blogger.com is a blog site taken by google so dont you feel that it will really give you good exposure
