Are you trying to make money with your blog, or is it just for fun?
If it's money you're in for, then I suggest you learn from those who have pretty much succeeded in it. Here's a few examples:
Those who've made it: kumikosuzuki.blogspot.com, mikesmoneymakingmission.blogspot.com, and millionnzdollars.blogspot.com.
One that's just starting it as well: money-in-blog.blogspot.com (actually this one is mine :p )
