do you mean how long does it take you to write an entry or how often do you write one. I have found the best ones are updated a lot (a few times a day), more than I can really keep up with. i wonder how they find so much stuff to write about!
Sometimes, they earn their money with it. And maybe they don't have a life. :)
But maybe you're right. I can't keep up with that anyway, not if I want to post quality posts.

Gosh - I guess I go on a lot of very active forums. Messages take me a few minutes to write, and one of the forums I go on gets about 30 new posts a day...usually more.

Lol yes - 1 to 3 hours does seem a bit excessive...
How long does it take me? I generally open up my Winword iff am in a good mood to write cuz its pretty important. I keep on writing 2 - 3 posts at a time (time taken may range anywhere from 15 mins to 2 hours per post) or more if possible and then pre publish them. So may be in the next day or two I dont need to write at all!! :D
How long does it take to write a post for a blog? It depends on the individual, how often it is updated and how many words are written.
Personally I post every day (once) and it takes me about 30 minutes if I have an idea for the post in my head.
The important bit is to do what you enjoy - it shouldn't be a chore.

It also depends on how the thinking process works in together with the writing process. I haven't been a blogger for long but I find I rewrite some posts at least once before I'm satisfied because I organize my thoughts as I write. So for some posts, I do drafts and others, I just post once and forget it. ~From 30 mins to an hour depending on topic.
Oh well it all depends on my mood and the thought process, if I am in really good mood and I have all the financial data needed (since I write on day to day markets) then it may take me from 10 mins. to 20 mins. not more than that, and the worst part in writing a really attractive post is when suddenly in the middle you are disturbed and then I don't feel like finishing it in a very fashionable manner which I start writing with...... so yes basically it all depends on the mood ....
