Problems editing template on Blogger Beta.

I do not understand this Blogger Beta system, I was happy with the original.

To make my own template what I used to do was copy the template from the blogger website into Macromedia Dreamweaver editor and then mess around with it till I liked it, and then paste it back into Blogger.

But now when I paste it from Beta to the webesign program, it won't read the html. Is this Blogspot trying to ensure we don't mess around with templates anymore?

My weblog is davegrey dot blogspot dot com , check the course code and you will see that if you paste it into Dreamweaver or a related program, it will not read it.

Am I doing something wrong?

If you are using Blogger Beta, then you need to Expand widgets before you copy that code and work around with it. Its hihgly likely you didnt do it and thats the reason your code doesnt work properly now.

Another reason is, the old blogger and new blogger beta uses different CSS technique to read and organise blogs. New one uses widgets unlike the old one. I'm also not familliar with the new template. I read in the help they say of u expand it, it will be more difficult to see it. I really don't get it. I just switched it to html one.

You would learn it after a bit of practice.
