Milos Barutciski practises in the areas of international trade, investment and competition law, and other aspects of economic regulation and compliance. He co-chairs the firm's International Trade and Investment Practice and has represented Canadian and international clients in matters relating to NAFTA and the WTO Agreements, investment treaties, export controls and trade sanctions, foreign corrupt practices, product regulation, customs laws and international dispute settlement. He regularly appears in antidumping, countervailing duty and government procurement cases before the Canadian International Trade Tribunal and the Federal Courts. Milos also represents clients before the Canadian Competition Bureau and the Competition Tribunal in connection with mergers and acquisitions, criminal cartel cases, distribution and pricing practices and cross-border enforcement issues. In 1994-95, Milos was retained by the Government of Canada to negotiate competition law cooperation agreements with the U.S. and the E.U.

Milos chairs the International Affairs Committee of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the Trade and Investment Commission of the International Chamber of Commerce, the Business and Industry Advisory Committee to the OECD and the Canadian Services Coalition. From 2006-2008, Milos was the President of the International Law Association founded in 1873 in The Hague and headquartered in London, England. Milos is also a Past Chair of the International Law Section of the Canadian Bar Association.

Fluently bilingual in English and French, Milos has published and lectured extensively in Canada and abroad on matters relating to international trade and competition law. He has testified before federal and provincial Parliamentary Committees on matters relating to international trade, investment and competition law, and has been invited to make presentations to WTO and NAFTA Working Groups, OECD Committees, trade officials of the People's Republic of China and the Republic of India, and Canadian and foreign business organizations. From 1996-99, Milos was retained by The World Bank to advise with respect to regulatory reform in the Middle East and Africa. Milos was an adjunct professor of International Trade Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Ottawa from 1990-94.
