Some blog directories say that thay will not list the sites with no weblog content. Does anyone know what they mean by this two words?

Some directories will not list blogs that have no "real" content... meaning that the blog is just a compilation of ads or spam (designed solely to try to earn money) or that all they contain are bits and pieces of things that are gathered off the internet and pasted into the blog. It is my understanding that there are directories out there that are only interested in listing blogs where the blog owner/author is actually writing and posting content on a regular and on-going basis. For example, I was approached by a couple of directory / list owners that emailed me to ask if I would list my blog on their site because they go looking for the type of content they want and ask your permission to list you.

I'm sure other people in the forum will have a variety of answers to your question but I thought I'd toss in my two cents

Content should be original, plentiful and frequent and full of keywords. Even images you post should have keywords in their ALT tags

Thanks to all... But I still have no idea why Globe of Blogs added my blog dedicated to franchise and rejected the one about internet dating...

Hey Kell Have you read their full TOS (terms of service)? Here's where you can find them on their site: globeofblogs.com/?x=tos (I hope I'm allowed to post that here). In the "User Conduct" section, there are 15 points of things that they say they don't accept. Maybe something there would help you to figure out why they rejected your internet dating site?

I hope this might help... I know it's frustrating not to understand why something is rejected without an explanation.

Different blog directories have different TOS (Terms of Service) and so they act differently. But by weblog content, I think it means that you should have REAL CONTENT in your blogs. There are many blogs on the net which doesn't have any real content and is crammed with ads. Those blogs are built solely for the purpose of making some quick money, such blogs violate the basic purpose of blogging. Hence are banned from many directories.
